Nexus

Nexus brings sales, stock, invoicing and OHADA accounting together for companies and multi-site networks. Its AI assistants connect to your data and automate specific operations, under your control.

Who it is for

Nexus is for companies and groups that run one or several entities, brands, agencies, shops or outlets, and want to steer them from a single system.

It suits retailers and point-of-sale networks, restaurants and restaurant chains, pharmacies and pharmacy groups, estate agencies, building management companies, property managers and developers.

A single-site company can start with a few modules, then extend the solution as it grows.

Problems it solves

  • “My sales, stock, invoices and accounts are spread across several pieces of software and spreadsheets.”
  • “I have no consolidated, up-to-date view of my different sites or companies.”
  • “Stock discrepancies, shortages and transfers between outlets are hard to follow.”
  • “A dropped connection can stop us taking payments and delay everything that follows.”
  • “My general-purpose software does not cover the processes my trade actually runs on.”
  • “My customers pay by mobile money, and I key those payments into my accounts by hand.”
  • “VAT, OHADA accounting and electronic invoicing take too much re-keying and manual checking.”

Use cases

Run a network of outlets

Follow revenue, takings and stock site by site or consolidated, move goods between shops, and give each team access to its own branches only.

Sell through an unstable connection

Take payments at the touchscreen till while offline, keep the operations locally, then synchronise them when the network returns, without keying them again.

Run a pharmacy or a group of pharmacies

Keep the catalogue, batches and expiry dates, handle prescriptions and dispensing, split the insurer's share from the patient's, and follow claims through to the insurer's payment.

Run a restaurant or a chain

Manage tables, menu, kitchen display, bookings, deliveries and staff, with a view of trading by site.

Manage property or a building in shared ownership

Structure properties and units, publish listings, follow leads and viewings, draw up leases and collect rent. For shared ownership: shares, charge calls, general meetings and the works fund.

Connect operations to finance

Issue invoices, collect by mobile money or card, record purchases and expenses, follow cash and VAT, keep OHADA accounts and produce compliant electronic invoices.

Deployment

Nexus is a modular web application delivered as a service. Each company gets an isolated data space, in which its brands, companies, sites, currencies, users and access rights are configured. Modules are switched on progressively, according to the activities chosen.

There is nothing to install: a browser is enough. Hosting and updates are handled by alua, and capacity follows the network as it grows. Only the till keeps a local copy, so it can carry on taking payments when the connection drops, then synchronise when the network returns.

Setting up starts with configuring the company and its sites, creating the users, choosing the modules, then importing or entering the opening data: customers, products, stock and tax settings. How long it takes depends on the number of sites, the modules chosen and the volume of data to carry over.

Support

A start-up path guides each company through configuring its space, choosing its modules and its first operations: create a customer, create a product, issue an invoice, take a payment.

Trade-specific paths then cover getting started in retail, food service, pharmacy, property, services, industry and training.

The alua team helps you choose the right modules and provides support at support@aluanexus.com.
